How we work · Project management
Project management with structure and the ability to execute
We keep scope, responsibilities, time, risks, changes, testing and documentation in clear view from kickoff to handover.
What do you get out of it?
Structure that moves the project forward
The goal is not administration for its own sake. The structure is there to make problems and decisions visible and turn them into action.
In practice, this means
- One point of contact throughout the project
- Clear division of responsibility between you, us and other suppliers
- Status, risks and changes in writing
- Decisions that get made – not postponed
Tools
The tools we manage the project with
The extent is adapted to the size of the project. What matters is that scope, responsibilities, time and changes are written down and known to all parties.
- Project manual and document plan
- Shared ground rules for the project and a plan for which documents are delivered when.
- Scope and block diagrams
- A visual overview of what the delivery covers – and what it does not.
- Responsibility and interface lists
- Who does what, and where the split lies with your other suppliers.
- Schedule and milestones
- Phases, dependencies and the dates the project is managed against.
- RAG status and risk register
- Ongoing status and a visible list of risks, each with an owner and an action.
- Decision and change log
- What was decided, by whom, when – and what the consequence of the change is.
- FAT and SAT plans
- Agreed test scope before delivery and after installation.
- Punch list and closeout
- Open items are followed through so the project can be formally closed.
Ability to act
A short path from problem to decision
The project manager has direct access to engineering, production, automation, installation and service. When reality changes, the right people can be brought together quickly.
One organization – not a chain of suppliers
Because the expertise sits in one place, a question about piping, controls or installation does not have to pass through three contracts before it gets answered.
